Shop It: My Registry Faves
A Look At Our Favorite Registry Items
While a free trip around Europe remains our most prized registry gift, these items certainly rank up high as well. We decided to register at Crate and Barrell, knowing that some of our parents’ friends and family members were more comfortable with getting us something tangible. Unlike the stereotypical choices of chinaware and waffle makers, we selected items that we knew we’d get use out of. Below is a roundup of our faves:
One of the items I put on our registry when Adam wasn’t looking :) When we opened the box, he expressed great concern over this seemingly “unnecessary” appliance. Fast forward 3 months later, and we can both attest to the fact that we use this wave of the future gift on a daily basis. It doesn’t require any oil, but magically “fries” anything to perfection. We put raw chicken breast in there and 10 minutes later (no pre-heat required), it’s perfectly crispy on both sides. French fries, mozzarella sticks, coconut shrimp, you name it.
Coffee lovers like us? This dual-action coffee maker lets you choose between a single k-cup serving, or a 12-cup pot of freshly brewed grinds. Shop it here
I am a self-admitted wine glass snob. The longer the stem, the thinner the glass, the happier the girl :) Every guest I’ve had over recently has complimented these glasses and some have even gone online that night to buy themselves some. We have the red, white, and champagne glasses in this set.
Because the pre-wedding diet must continue after the big day, right? This industrial-style blender is perfect for all of those green smoothies I’ve promised myself I’ll get back into the habit of making. It’s also perfect should we ever decide we want to make soup out of concrete. For real, this thing WORKS.
You know you’re an adult when you ask for expensive luggage. It’s something you would’ve cringed at receiving in years past, but with a honeymoon and so many future trips to look forward to, this is a must.
One day, we will have dinner parties. One day, we will host a Thanksgiving. Whenever this day comes, we’ll be glad we’re not serving guests on the plastic plates we still use from Target. This is an adult addition to the kitchen cabinets, and while they remain untouched at present time, their presence alone is a reminder that we’re now refined young adults.
A serving tray…something only parents and grandparents have, right? Well, now you’re married, so you need one too. This is something I begrudgingly put on my registry and probably use the most. Works as a candle holder on my coffee table, a cheese board, and a breakfast tray!
True story: my mom once broke up with a boyfriend because he got her a wok for her birthday. To be fair, that’s a pretty horrible birthday gift. But this isn’t a birthday, it’s a wedding registry, making it a perfect addition! Love making stir fry or sauteed veggies? You need this in your life.
Never met a martini I didn’t like. If you’re similar, these are super elegant but also really fun. Plus, they’re large enough to hold a good amount of liquor (because nobody likes a small martini).
Yeah, going to a bar and having a mixologist create your fav craft cocktail is unbeatable. But $15 cosmos can add up, and hey, maybe you’re not in the mood to put on a bra and leave the house! No problemo—this bar set has every tool needed to mix, stir, and shake your ideal beverage.
The hubs can attest to the fact that there is a difference between good and bad knives. If you’re in the kitchen as much as we are, a good knife set is a staple. Splurge on a long-lasting one like this….you’ll never feel sexier slicing that filet than you will with one of these :)
Because you’re married, and one tray just isn’t enough! Seriously, you will find so many uses for these, so I highly recommend getting at least two serving platters/trays. This one is super chic (loving the gold foil) and big enough for all of your hostess needs.
Charcuterie boards are a must. Always. At all times. Getting a monogrammed one like this will remind you that the wedding is over (aka no need to squeeze into a tight dress again), and it’s okay to scarf down all of the cheese.
TBH, I don’t mind an ice cube in my white wine when it needs a bit of a chill. But to avoid others’ judgement, this contraption works too.
Not a kitchen item, but definitely a necessity. A good throw blanket is something you’ll wish you had put on your registry. It’s one of those items you’ll never want to splurge on yourself but that you’ll use all the time…so let others splurge on it for you!
Why are hotel robes so AHHH-MAZING? Well, save yourself the airfare, resort fee, and painful sunburn. Lounge at home in matching his/her plush robes and take a SUPER cute insta pic #marriage
